I’m so glad you’re here, and I pray these pages help you take the next step in walking with Him.
Travis D. Faul is a husband to Leah, a father of three and an environmental engineer in South Texas, but above all he is a follower of Jesus who is always seeking to know Him more. Hungry for a deeper walk with God, he has spent years reading Scripture, praying, asking honest questions and continuing his study toward a master’s in biblical studies. For several years, he and Leah opened their lives to the Red House community through Bible studies, worship nights, fellowship and prayer, and watched God move in people’s lives. He wrote Pillars to Altars for anyone who has met God and wants to keep walking with Him.
ABOUT the red house
You’ll read about the red house throughout Pillars to Altars. Birthed from hineni, it was a worship house in the woods just outside of Tomball, built by many who heard God’s call and followed. It marked a pillar moment for many.
You’ll read about the red house throughout Pillars to Altars. It was birthed from hineni: not knowing the full picture, but hearing the call of God and following. Many came and did just that, and together they created a worship house in the woods just outside of Tomball, all for Him. It became a place of worship, prayer and fellowship, where God moved in lives and marked a pillar moment for many. In August 2026, God called Travis and Leah to a new season, and many carried the torch, launching worship gatherings of their own.

Hineni (hee-NAY-nee) is the Hebrew for “Here I am,” the answer Abraham, Moses, Samuel and Isaiah gave when God called (Genesis 22:1, Exodus 3:4, 1 Samuel 3:4, Isaiah 6:8). It’s a thread that runs through Pillars to Altars.
